Allison joined the Ability team in 2018 with a strong desire to use her knowledge and experience to help clients navigate the intricate claims process while providing vocational services. She studied at the Evergreen State College where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. Allison began her career in workers’ compensation in 2010 at Labor & Industries. During her time at the Department, she completed the 22-month apprenticeship training, obtained her journey-level Workers' Compensation Apprenticeship Certificate and worked as a claim manager from 2012-2016. Her experience as a claim manager includes time as a Workers' Compensation Adjudicator 3 managing complex injury and occupational disease claims. Allison also worked as a Vocational Service Specialist where she collaborated with private vocational counselors and other worker’s compensation stakeholders to overcome barriers. Additionally, Allison worked as a Third-Party Administrator and assisted employers with management of their workers’ compensation claims. She provided guidance for developing early return-to-work plans using Job Modification funds, Stay at Work (SAW) and the Preferred Worker program. In this role, she earned Certified Disability Management Specialist (CDMS) credential. Outside of work, Allison enjoys running, musicals, and traveling to Maine. She provides services in Thurston, Pierce and Kitsap counties.
